Making Dreams a Reality Skill Building

My Homework Assignment

In one of the courses I am taking, I was given a homework assignment that was very emotional for me. My assignment was to answer “Why would someone invest in me?” which for me, is an incredibly hard question to answer. Next, I was to write a compelling pitch to the ‘Investor of the Bank of Possibility’ as to why they should invest in me.

Just as I read the assignment my daughter walked into my room and said “Mom you look like you’ve seen a ghost. What’s wrong?” At that point I started crying. After everything I have been through and endured, why would someone, anyone, invest in me of all people? Who would really believe in me enough to actually invest in me? Then my other daughter came in and said “Mom, you are your first investor in you. Just you taking this course shows your belief and willingness to invest in you as the first investor.”

With that bit of encouragement from my daughter, I made it through the homework assignment. Here is my pitch:

Each individual goes through their personal refiner’s fire to determine the strength of their convictions and determination to accomplish their chosen mission and goals. Through my journey, I have utilized skills and training I have gained from being an entrepreneur starting at the age of 5, a homeschooling mom of 8 children for over 25 years, and a caregiver of a disabled husband for the last 5 years. Time and again, I have proven my tenacity, resilience, endurance, and my ability to adapt and overcome through insurmountable odds. All of this gives me the unique combination of viewpoint, foresight, and strategic planning that is in demand with the current global events. To help others develop their compassionate genius and accomplish their life missions is my goal. To invest in me is an investment into the millions of others that I will touch and uplift through my products and services. To help compassionate geniuses accomplish their life missions to improve the world, that is the true investment when you invest in me.
